What the heck are “KPIs”?
Key Performance Indicators are an ultimate tool in marketing - in fact, they are a MUST in marketing. You might have heard of
them before, and if not - that’s okay! In
simple terms, KPIs (Key Performance
Indicators) are a measurement of performance! When creating a marketing plan, they are great things to look at and consider in order to focus on specific aspects of your marketing plan.
Let’s say that you’re looking for ways to optimize your Instagram profile and your main goal is to become a successful influencer. One of your KPIs might be follower-growth or account reach - and you’ll measure these over a period of time once you’ve started implementing your marketing strategies. The data you collect from these KPIs will give you a better insight of how your marketing strategies and ideas perform. KPIs help you look at what is being the most affected (both positively and negatively) in order to achieve your ultimate goal.
It’s very easy to say what your goals
are and think that subconsciously you
will accomplish them - but you have to
stay on top of them. The best way to
reach your goals is to keep yourself organized, as well as accountable. Creating a marketing plan, including a timeline, knowing exactly what actions have to be made, what KPIs to measure, will give you a higher chance of achieving that goal.
So get out there, and pay close attention to those KPIs! Your marketing strategies will forever change, evolve, and adapt!
